Voice mail but not in call log

I’m new to Ooma. I have noticed short voice mails (no content, typically just a second or two of silence or noise) in my voice mail box with no corresponding entry in the call log. I currently have both the public and private black lists set to go to voice mail.

Does this behavior imply that the number is on the public blacklist (and hence no call log entry, brief voice mail due to caller hanging up after the voice mail recording starts)?




Yes, that would be normal behavior for blacklisted calls which are set to go to VM. Because those 2-3 second blank voice mails are so annoying (and since they never leave a message anyway), I have my blacklist behavior set for “constant ring”.
