Ooma + Linx = Setup Question with 2 line phone

I have a vTech 2 line phone with several extender phones. The phone requires each line to be plugged in separately so the base unit can distribute them to each extender.

  • I plug line 1 into my ooma and line 2 into a linx

  • I have both numbers in my main account because I want them to ring with same number

Here is where I see a problem…

If a call comes in both the Ooma and Linx will ring because they are in the same call group but I only want the Linx to ring if the main Ooma unit is on a call. I cannot have both line 1 & 2 ring on my vTech every time a call comes in.

I thought the solution was to put the Linx in a different account but then it won’t ring with the same number as the Ooma base.

Is there a way to get the Linx set up only to ring if the Ooma base is already on a call?

Anyone here?

I have a 2-line Panasonic setup with a Linx for the second line. The “lines” are in two different ring groups. So, what you want is not currently feasible. I Believe, although I am not that familiar with Office. Sorry.
