the phone rings 2o times a day from robot callers using the same number. I want to block these robots. call blocking is a feature on the other Ooma product why is it not a feature on Ooma Business? seems weird that such a beneficial feature is ignored given that is requested over and over.
as it looks like blocking will never be a thing, I am looking for a desk phone that I can call block. if the Ooma service won’t do it then maybe the connected telephony hardware will.
This device works:
I am told by Ooma office that call blocking will be a feature come first quarter of 2019.
Q1… so anytime in the next 12 months. [operators are automated and not standing.]
In the next 3-4 months. I’ll believe it when I see it, though.
turns out the Panasonic KX-TG9541B has a call blocking feature built-in. and this feature has been there since I installed the system two years ago. grrr. the steps in the destructions are not totally accurate. and because the programming is handset based there are many steps. just a beep-beep-beep-beep later that annoying robo caller is banished.
scroll down to page 57 for the blow-by-blow.
